I have two grown sons. My oldest is in the Navy stationed in Okinawa, he just reenlisted (I'm not happy about that) and my youngest son is an HVAC journeyman and realtor. But my favorite child (it's no secret) is my rescued pit bull. I would take a bullet for him. My favorite band is the Barenaked Ladies, I hate hot weather, I'm a vegetarian, and my favorite place to getaway is Saugatuck, Michigan.
I learned pretty early on that weddings were not for me. I like portraits- specifically high school seniors, babies/kids, and families. I do a lot of seasonal mini sessions when I'm not doing regular sessions.
Everyone is welcome in my studio, regardless of race, religion, and all the things that make us different.
I opened my studio in 1991 on Main Street in Belleville. I was 20 years old, attending Washtenaw Community College (for photography) and working at the JCPenney portrait studio. My mom was (is) an entrepreneur and she insisted I open my own studio, so she paid a one year lease to rent part of the main floor at 374 Main Street (my current location, that I now own) and she invested in basic equipment (backgrounds, lights, cameras, etc.) I guess she knew what she was doing (like moms always do).

But I love senior sessions, family photos, babies & kids...
I offer affordable Basic Studio Sessions, Standard Sessions that include in-studio and/or outdoor in my yard* and around town.
*My yard is less than a block from the studio (super convenient) and it is a great option for outdoor photos late May through late October. I also offer Location Sessions if you have a specific place in mind (I love Depot Town, the local metro park, the Law Quad in Ann Arbor, Eastern Market in Detroit and many other cool spots.)
